Welcome to A Wider View
A space to explore the deeper currents shaping our culture while understanding that our individual healing journey is inseparable from the health of our planet.
“For the first time in human evolution, the individual life is long enough, and the cultural transformation swift enough, that the individual mind is now a constituent player in the global transformation of human culture.”
William Irwin Thompson
For the past fifteen years, my life has been a journey of perpetual transformations—from healing early childhood trauma, to recovering from addiction, to managing debilitating chronic illness. What I’ve come to realize is that my ails have been mere symptoms of broader systemic imbalances within our environment and society. Healing, therefore, cannot be confined to the individual alone, despite the prevailing cultural emphasis on hyper-individualism. True, integrated healing is both personal and planetary, rooted in the recognition of how biologically tethered we are to the Earth’s ecosystems. It requires an ecological framework that acknowledges the relationship between our well-being and the health of the planet.
Now feels like the right time to share this journey with a larger community. The world around us is changing faster than any of us can keep up with, and many of us are grappling with the weight of ecological grief, climate change, and a growing sense of disconnection and despair.
As a Certified Psychedelic Coach and Clinical Herbalist, my work has been rooted in guiding others to reconnect with a sense of belonging—not only to their own bodies but also to the world that contains us. This space is an extension of that mission, an invitation to those who seek to understand what it truly means to heal, transform, and reconnect with both the natural world and themselves amidst the profound changes shaping humanity right now.
I’m seeking to build a safe space where we can dive deep into the issues that matter most: from the therapeutic potential of psychedelics and plant medicine to the emotional weight of ecological grief, to the wisdom found in deep ecology and animism, I’m here for it all.
Together, we’ll explore how to navigate these uncertain times while grounding ourselves in embodied ways of knowing and practices that cultivate both personal and planetary resilience. I’m creating this space to confront the deep transformations happening within and around us as we move through a world undergoing a powerful initiation into its next phase of evolution.
Let’s have honest, open conversations about what it means to heal, both within ourselves and within our communities, while we face the existential threat of the ongoing climate crisis that many of us have already directly experienced in some form or another, or soon will as our climate continues to warm and weather events become more catastrophic and unpredictable.
This community is for those who feel called to explore the deeper currents shaping our culture, and who understand that our individual healing journeys are inseparable from the health of our planet.
I find it both astonishing and alarming that so few mental health practitioners connect the widespread epidemics of depression, anxiety, and trauma to the devastating consequences of our environmental practices and the mass extinction of species we are currently witnessing. These events are not separate but are deeply woven into the fabric of our collective psyche.
Through my education in Ecopsychology, I’ve come to understand that true healing cannot occur in isolation from our world. Our personal struggles mirror the Earth’s suffering, and our path to healing is contingent upon restoring equilibrium to the larger web of life that is made up of our shared ancestors and irreplaceable beyond human kin.
Here’s a look at what I’ll be offering on this platform:
I’ll be sharing insights from my journey as a psychedelic practitioner and harm reduction educator, focusing on how to prepare for, navigate, and integrate psychedelic and non-ordinary states of consciousness for purposes of healing and growth. Whether you’re new to psychedelics or more experienced, these tools and frameworks can help deepen your practice. To learn more about my approach to this work, feel free to travel over to Inner Healing Space.
Normalizing what it means to experience complex trauma, addiction, and chronic illness in a world that is unravelling right before our eyes, and what I’ve come to understand about the deeper neurobiological and psychological root causes of these common conditions.
I will offer in-depth and cutting-edge reflections on climate change, ecological grief, ecopsychology, and animism.
